We know you're busy.

Your work and personal life seemingly take up twenty-five hour days. How can you effectively, intelligently, join the fight to prevent Washington’s mad dash away from our Constitution and towards taking over every aspect of American life?

We’ve done what you’d do yourself if you had the time. We’ve identified the most vulnerable of the incumbents in the majority party and selected an initial group to target for monitoring. While it's true that there are also many Republicans who need to go, our first priority should be to overcome the Democrat's majority in the House. This is not a partisan issue, regardless of whether you are a Democrat or Republican, a Libertarian, or an independent, many political persuasions are extremely dissatisfied with the actions of the Pelosi majority in the House.

As it stands today, the majority can pass any law that furthers their agenda. They have the numbers and we can’t stop them. The only option available to us is to reduce the majority in Congress. By doing so, we can prevent the passage of laws that spend funds we don’t have and trample on our Constitution. Make no mistake, Congress is spending OUR money, yours and mine, like the proverbial “drunken sailor” (apologies to drunken sailors everywhere).

We need to retake control of our government.

In recent years, we’ve had little voice. We keep yelling, but no one is listening - and we’re frustrated. We have been under the impression that Washington is supposed to be doing “the people’s work.” But are they?

Polls show that the American people DON’T want to change their health insurance and they darn sure don’t want to pay more for less. We the people, don’t want higher taxes. We don’t want to remain dependant on foreign oil. We don’t want illegal aliens flooding into this country. And we don’t want our military, our real American heroes, left unsupported by an indecisive Commander-in-Chief.

So, what can we do? We can begin the process of retaking our government by replacing those representatives who are NOT doing the work of the American people.

Our We're Watching You goal is simple: to reduce or eliminate the current liberal majority in the House of Representatives.

No party, Democratic or Republican, has the right to ignore our Constitution. Currently, the Democrats, led by Speaker Nancy Pelosi, control the House of Representatives and they are acting as if they are not bound by the United States Constitution.

If we can reduce or eliminate their majority, we can deny them their rush to transform the United States into a European-style socialistic country. They make no pretense of bi-partisanship. They lock the minority party out of discussions, and then use parliamentary trickery to force their ill-advised and unwanted legislation down our throats. And as long as they control the House, we have to live with the results, however distasteful.

Our goal is to impact the 2010 mid-term Congressional elections on two levels:

First: We’ll facilitate sending letters to ten carefully selected members of the House. Those letters advise the recipient that their actions will be closely monitored by We’re Watching You, and if they vote to pass any bill that increases our taxes, grows the deficit, or takes away our freedoms, we will vigorously support their opponent and actively work towards their defeat.

We intend to influence the incumbents, so that they vote against healthcare, amnesty, etc. or risk losing their seat. Reducing the current Democrat majority can ensure that those bills won’t receive enough votes to pass.

Second: We’ll facilitate the contribution of funds to the opponents of the ten identified incumbents.

It’s important to recognize that even relatively small quantities of contributions can add up quickly.

Example 1: If Joe Citizen contributes $1,000, distributing $100 contributions to each of the ten opponent's campaigns, and he is joined by only 4,999 other contributors NATIONALLY, we can add another $500,000 to the campaign coffers of each of the targeted incumbent’s ten opponents. That can make a significant difference in a campaign.

That’s only 5,000 people giving $1,000 apiece. Ten thousand contributors would yield $1,000,000 to each opponent.

Example 2: If 10 U.S. Citizens who are tired of being intimidated by Washington D.C. get together and each contribute $100 to one of the opponents, the same result can be achieved and more Citizens will be involved. 

We believe that our campaign will give Americans a fighting chance to return our House of Representatives to a more fiscally responsible body that will be more faithful to the Constitution and the oath they swore.
