What We Can Do To Help

We know you're busy.

Your work and personal life seemingly take up twenty-five hour days. How can you effectively, intelligently, join the fight to prevent Washington’s mad dash away from Constitutional principles and towards taking over every aspect of American life?

We’ve done what you’d do yourself if you had the time. We’re concentrating on the 219 who voted for the healthcare bill as guilty of behavior detrimental to our way of life. While it's true that there are also many others who need to go (including Republicans), our first priority must be to overcome the Democrat's majority in the House. This is not a partisan issue, regardless of whether you are a Democrat or Republican, a Libertarian or an Independent, you'll be joining many other political persuasions who are extremely dissatisfied with the actions of the "progressive" majority.

The Plan.

First, we need to neutralize the current majorities in the House and Senate. With their current advantage, Speaker Pelosi and Senate Leader Reid can push through legislation that advances their agenda and ordinary citizens can do little to stop it. Indeed, only infighting among Democrats prevented easy passage of healthcare and cap and trade legislation. Republicans couldn’t stop either bill without help from disenchanted Democrats. With Democrats controlling both congressional bodies and Obama in the White House, we are at the mercy of radical progressives, and if they vote in unison, they can ram their pet projects down our collective throats and all we can do is wail, gnash our teeth, and gag.

And it is foolhardy to think that the worst is over. The administration is already working behind closed doors to prepare sweeping regularatory reform, a new cap and trade assult, and immigration reform for legislative battle.

The 2010 midterm elections are critical if we are to prevent Obama, Pelosi, and Reid from completely remaking our United States into a country we can no longer recognize. For now, we intend to concentrate on retaking the House of Representatives and return scores of arrogant, lying bureaucrats back to their previous careers chasing ambulances and defrauding elderly widows.

November 2, 2010 is more aptly described not as a battle between Democrats and Republicans, but as a showdown between “progressives” (ultra-left-wing liberals) and conservatives. Historically, true Democrats and Republicans could usually negotiate some satisfactory compromise that was relatively fair to the public at large. But no more. The "progressive" wing of the Democrat party currently controls all legislation and they ignore input from any other sources, least of all from ordinary American citizens.

One thing we must remember is that if Republicans can take back the House, we must be no less vigilant in holding them accountable. When voting, party affiliation alone should not guide us. Even though Republicans have generally supported causes that are more conservative than Democrats, in recent years the Republican party has lost its way. They have fallen victim to the same old “politics as usual” as Democrats – choosing to vote with the party establishment rather than for the interests of their constituents. We must no longer tolerate that. We must elect representation that will honor conservative values, period.

Lest we forget, spending under President Bush and the Republican majorities between 2001 and 2006 increased at the fastest rate since LBJ's Great Society years. And while we complain about President Obama's obliterating even the previous administration’s spending record, we should never forget what happened on the Republican’s last watch with them in control and George Bush in the Oval Office.

So, what can we do?

We can begin the process of retaking our government by replacing those representatives who are NOT doing the work of the American people, namely
the current "progressive" majority in the House of Representatives.

Currently, led by Speaker Nancy Pelosi, they control the House of Representatives and they are acting as if they are not bound by the United States Constitution.
They make no pretense of bi-partisanship. They lock the minority party out of discussions, and then use parliamentary trickery to force their ill-advised and unwanted legislation into law. And as long as they control the House, we have to live with the results, however distasteful.

We believe that our campaign will give Americans a fighting chance to return our House of Representatives to a more fiscally responsible body that will be more faithful to the Constitution and the oath they swore.
