We're Watching You!
Welcome
We're Watching You is a national grassroots political activist group that is dedicated to the task of influencing Congress to act in the best interest of the citizens of
Our mission is to use all legal means and methods at our disposal to convince our elected representatives that legislative actions which increase the national debt, add to the deficit, increase the tax burden of the citizens, or infringe upon the liberties of We, the People, should be vigorously opposed at every opportunity.
-- We, the People
We believe that Congress has established themselves as an elite ruling class. It has become painfully obvious that they no longer view themselves as representatives of the people of this country. Most seem to believe that they are better than we, the unwashed masses, and view taxpayers with contempt. A majority have come to view their seats in Congress as permanent, tenured positions – they have become America's royalty.
Have you ever wished that you had more influence with members of Congress like Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, or Barney Frank? Unless you live in their district, you can’t vote them out and they have little to fear from most of
What recourse do we have? How can we affect an out-of-district race when we aren’t privy to the power of the ballot box?
Absent a national soapbox from which our voices might be heard, the only weapon most of us have to affect an incumbent in another district or state is support for their opponent’s campaign - financial and otherwise.
We can’t become complacent now, thinking that our tea parties, town hall meetings, and DC protest will be enough. To be sure, those activities have awakened the long sleeping silent majority. But we can’t stop there. There is much more to be done.
We have an opportunity to replace many members of Congress in 2010 - the time is right. But, political action must be augmented by cash. Especially in vulnerable districts, the DNC will pull out all of the stops to retain their majority. We need to give ourselves a chance to win.
If we wake up after the 2010 elections to find that the democrats have retained several seats by slim margins – enough to keep them in power - won’t we wonder if we could have done more? By then, it could be too late. NOW is the time to begin taking our government back.
